The ore bodies we recruit into.
Mining skills are not transferable by default. A flotation metallurgist is not a leach metallurgist. A soft-rock supervisor is not a hard-rock one. We recruit by commodity, mining method and processing route — and we say so when a candidate's experience does not carry across.
Gold
The Arabian Shield is the Kingdom's gold province, and it is where the largest share of current exploration and development activity sits. Open pit and underground operations run alongside each other, with CIL, CIP and heap leach all in use depending on the ore body.
What clients ask us for:
- Resource and mine geologists with a reportable estimate behind them
- Grade control supervisors for narrow-vein and bulk-tonnage operations
- Process metallurgists across CIL, CIP and heap leach flowsheets
- Underground mine captains and development shift bosses
- Elution, electrowinning and gold room specialists
Phosphate
Phosphate is the Kingdom's largest-volume mining operation by tonnage, mined in the Northern Borders and processed into fertiliser products at integrated downstream complexes. It is a bulk, continuous, heavily mechanised business — the workforce profile looks more like a large industrial plant than a conventional hard-rock mine.
What clients ask us for:
- Beneficiation and flotation metallurgists with sedimentary phosphate experience
- Large-fleet load and haul superintendents
- Fixed plant maintenance and reliability engineers
- Bulk materials handling and conveyor specialists
- Tailings and water stewardship leads
Bauxite & alumina
Bauxite mined at Al-Baitha feeds the alumina refinery and smelter complex at Ras al-Khair — one of the most fully integrated aluminium chains anywhere. That integration means the hiring brief frequently spans the mine, the refinery and the smelter at once, and the scarce skills sit in the Bayer circuit rather than the pit.
What clients ask us for:
- Bayer process engineers and refinery shift managers
- Digestion, precipitation and calcination specialists
- Potline and cast house supervisors
- Mine planners for bulk, low-strip-ratio operations
- Bauxite quality and blending controllers
Copper & zinc
Base metals in the region are predominantly volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits worked underground, with conventional sulphide flotation producing separate concentrates. These are the operations where genuinely scarce underground hard-rock experience is the constraint.
What clients ask us for:
- Underground mine managers and technical services superintendents
- Geotechnical engineers with ground support design experience
- Flotation metallurgists producing separate Cu / Zn concentrates
- Ventilation engineers and refrigeration specialists
- Backfill and paste plant engineers
- Concentrate logistics and offtake managers
Industrial minerals
Limestone, silica sand, kaolin, magnesite, gypsum and dimension stone support the region's cement, glass, ceramics and refractories industries. Operations are typically smaller, closer to population centres, and run with leaner technical teams — which makes each individual hire more consequential.
What clients ask us for:
- Quarry managers with statutory competencies
- Product quality and specification engineers
- Crushing, screening and classification specialists
- Kiln and calcination operators
- Multi-site operations managers
Downstream & smelting
Ras al-Khair and Jubail host smelting, refining and fertiliser production at scale. The talent market here overlaps with petrochemicals and heavy industry, which widens the pool but makes assessment harder — plenty of candidates have the process background without the minerals context.
What clients ask us for:
- Smelter and refinery operations managers
- Process control and automation engineers
- Furnace, potline and cast house leadership
- Product metallurgy and quality managers
- Turnaround and shutdown managers
Rare earths & critical minerals
Early-stage but strategically prioritised, with exploration and scoping work accelerating across the region. Hiring here is almost entirely study-side and almost entirely international — the specialist separation and processing expertise does not yet exist in the region at depth.
What clients ask us for:
- Exploration managers with critical-minerals track records
- Hydrometallurgy and separation specialists
- Study managers for scoping and pre-feasibility
- Competent Persons for maiden resource estimates
- Permitting and environmental leads
Aggregates & quarrying
Giga-project construction has turned aggregate supply into a mining business in its own right, with large fixed and mobile crushing operations running to construction schedules rather than mine plans. Hiring is fast, volume-driven and tightly coupled to project timelines.
What clients ask us for:
- Quarry and crushing plant managers
- Drill and blast engineers for construction aggregate
- Mobile plant and fleet maintenance supervisors
- Production planners tied to construction schedules
- Volume operator and trade intakes
Mining services & contractors
Drilling contractors, mining contractors, earthmoving companies, laboratories and EPCM firms carry a large share of the region's operational headcount. The hiring brief is different: mobilisation speed, contract compliance and commercial exposure matter as much as technical depth.
What clients ask us for:
- Contract managers and project directors
- Drilling superintendents — RC, diamond and grade control
- Earthmoving fleet and production managers
- Laboratory managers and QA/QC leads
- Commercial managers and quantity surveyors

If your operation sits outside these, the conversation is still worth having — the assessment approach travels even where the commodity does not.
